Dr. Audrey M. Peterbark

Meet the Director of Fine Arts
Dr. Audrey M. Peterbark earned an Ed.D in educational leadership from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Dr. Peterbark also earned a B.M. and M.M. in piano performance and pedagogy, with a minor in voice, from Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, New Jersey. She has also received her National Orff Music Method Certification from Southern Methodist University and is a recent graduate of the Texas Fine Arts Administrators Leadership Cohort, an organization dedicated to training and vetting Fine Arts Administrators in Texas.
Dr. Peterbark received an induction into the “Hall of Fame,” an award given by the Dallas Metroplex Musicians organization (DMMA), for her work as a music educator. She is no stranger to Cedar Hill ISD and has a deep passion for academic and music teaching. Her dissertation work focused on improving STAAR reading test outcomes for third graders at Lake Ridge Elementary School.
Dr. Peterbark was the District Elementary Music Team Leader for seven years from 2016-2023, and was the campus Teacher of the Year in 2021. She was the founder of the Cedar Hill Elementary Honor Choir. Before returning to Cedar Hill, Dr. Peterbark was an elementary music educator at Bowie Fine Arts Academy, one of three fine arts elementary institutions with Grand Prairie ISD, and she spent the last two years as a Secondary Choral Music Director at Harry S. Truman Middle School in Grand Prairie, Texas.
When she is not in the classroom or performing, Dr. Peterbark serves as the Associate Director of Music at the First United Methodist Church of Keller, Texas.
